This will cause minor inconvenience during skip scenes and crouching, but now you can reverse and descend using "B button". You just have to assign reverse action of all vehicles to some unused keyboard button (O or P), then select your controller from Farcry 5 > controller configuration (not steam settings) > select B button in bottom right

Ive got the D-pad figured out mostly. just cant figure out how to get the reversing in a vehicle working yet. I know this is an old post, but you need to change the answer to mikegem post Big Picture -> FC5 -> Controller options -> Set to 'Forced off'. #24.

As the title says, when using a gamepad (Xbox One Controller) on PC, reverse is not bound to anything. I see no way to manually rebind keys, so if anyone has a solution or workaround i'd love to hear it. Yes. I've been using a 360 controller and it's been a hardcore struggle. First it wouldn't recognize, then D-pad wouldn't work (which it still doesn't, I just rebound the D-pad to the keyboard keys, so throwing rocks gets real weirdy), and the best way I've found to reverse is to set a waypoint, get in the passenger seat, and wait for your capable, grown up companion to back the damn car up
Hey, I'm (trying) to play Farcry 5 on my PC through Steam with an Xbox 360 gamepad and I've come accross a ridiculous problem. When driving a vehicle, I've noticed that the brake/reverse button isn't mapped to anything. When entering a vehicle, a list of commands appears, each accompanied with its associated button.
